Introductions and Organization Updates Individuals shared the events and activities at their respective organizations.
Publication Distribution Free copies of “The Ultimate Quick Reference Guide Planned Giving Pocket Guide” were distributed. Members may pick up a copy from Kelly Caughlan at the YMCA.
Minutes Terry Rothmann made a motion to approve the Steering Committee minutes from Sept. 9, 2010. Tricia Lee seconded. Motion carried.
Financial Update Kelly Caughlan provided the financial update based on the executive committee minutes from 10 March 2011. The current balance in our account is $3,335.11 with three bills at approximately $1,170.00 still to be paid.
Committee Reports
Education Committee-Todd Kuckkahn, Mary Ann Krems, Tricia Lee Tuesday, April 26—Anderson Firm Estate Planning Seminar Thursday, May 19—Planned Giving board training—YMCA Foundation Board
Fred Hebblewhite reported that the estate seminar in Amherst was mildly successful and they are interested in doing it again in the future. The committee has developed a standardized schedule and process for the non-profit and estate and financial planning guides. The committee proposed the planned giving guides that were distributed today.

Marketing-Fred Hebblewhite, Bruce Beaman PSA was updated and media firms are being contacted. Bruce Beaman has been diligently updating the website and the PGfPC link is now available for non-profits to put on their website. Fred Hebblewhite (United Way) and Terry Rothmann (Community Foundation of Central WI) have links on their websites. Both guides are available and any corrections should be sent to Fred Hebblewhite.

Presentation—Terry Rothmann—“Connecting Values to Charitable Giving”
Subsequent to these minutes being published, Bruce Beaman sent out some of the handouts from Terry’s presentation. The guest speaker, Beth Hoffman, was unable to attend and we hope to get her for the September meeting.
Terry’s message focused on encouraging and listening to the donor’s story about why they support an organization. He also shared how important it is to be able to share your own organization’s story in a heartfelt way.
